Environmental Mission Statement – We are a Zero CO2 Company
Our companies aim is to be as ecologically friendly as possible. We are working to achieve this by minimising our waste and seeking ways to use less energy. Our goal is to maintain a minimal carbon footprint. We regularly audit our companies environmental impact, any necessary carbon output is then offset using Certified Emission Reduction (CER) credits from Kyoto / United Nations approved carbon offsetting schemes.
CER (Certified Emissions Reductions) are issued for emission reductions from Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project activities.
Our products conform to the RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directive.
Some environmental aspects of recycling batteries
Recycling your batteries through us and not throwing them away will help the environment. Rechargeable batteries contain harmful chemicals and heavy metals such as Cadmium.
Our company takes a responsible eco-logical and eco-friendly approach. All dead batteries are recycled in accordance with the Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005.
Rechargeable batteries should not be disposed of with household waste. If disposed of this way they can end up in landfill sites and the harmful chemicals contained can leach in to the earth and waterways.
Please take care when disposing of such items yourself we offer a battery recycling service in accordance with the Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005.
